Renowned actor Naga Chaitanya is poised to collaborate with filmmaker Chandoo Mondeti in an exciting new endeavor. Chandoo Mondeti, riding high on the success of his recent Pan India film "Karthikeya 2," has initiated work on a highly anticipated project, tentatively known as NC23. While the film's production is set to commence shortly, Naga Chaitanya has already delved into his role's groundwork, embarking on a visit to a village in Srikakulam.

In an intriguing twist, Naga Chaitanya is set to portray a fisherman in the upcoming NC23. To fully immerse himself in this role, the actor has dedicated time to engage with the local fishing community. His objective is to authentically capture the character's essence by gaining insights into the region, culture, and lifestyle of the fishermen and their families.

A reliable source closely connected to the film's production shared insights into the project, stating, "The pre-production efforts for NC23 are in full swing, with filming slated to commence this month. Naga Chaitanya, Chandoo Mondeti, and Bunny Vas recently visited Vizag. Today, they journeyed to K Matchilesam village in Gara Mandal, Srikakulam district, to connect with the fishing families residing there."

During a recent interaction with the media, Naga Chaitanya discussed the film, sharing, "Chandoo presented the storyline to me six months ago, and I was immediately captivated. The narrative is grounded in real-life incidents and experiences. Chandoo and Vas have dedicated two years to shaping this story. The narrative is incredibly inspiring. Our visit here aims to comprehend the fisherman's lifestyle, their mannerisms, and the village's fabric, as we embark on the pre-production phase."

Filmmaker Chandoo Mondeti added, "A local individual named Karthik crafted a narrative inspired by a true event from 2018. The tale first reached Aravind Garu and Bunny Vas Garu, who were both intrigued. After hearing the story, I too was genuinely enthralled. Our collaborative efforts have shaped the script over the past two years, and we are pleased with its development. Chay [Naga Chaitanya] has expressed his satisfaction with the narrative. It was essential for us to initiate the pre-production process at the location where the actual incident transpired."

Producer Bunny Vas chimed in, "Our journey has just commenced. The event from 2018 became the catalyst for the story's creation. The local villagers from this region often migrate to Gujarat for employment, engaging in fishing activities there. Karthik skillfully wove the tale around the 2018 incident, and Chandoo masterfully transformed it into a beautiful love story. The current trend in Telugu cinema leans toward realism, and Chandoo was resolute in capturing the essence of the story's origins. Our visit to the village was motivated by the desire to understand the ambiance and the fishermen's way of life. The mentioned incident resonated beyond borders, leaving an impact in Delhi and even reaching Karachi, Pakistan. Hence, our visit here holds great significance, and we were met with a warm reception. We anticipate returning to the village to delve deeper into its nuances, relying on the invaluable cooperation of its residents."
