Om Raut's Adipurush Receives Mixed Reactions Despite Box Office Success; Director Expresses Support for Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana Adaptation

Om Raut's recently released film, Adipurush, has generated both backlash and positive response at the box office. Despite facing criticism from audiences, the director seems to have shifted his focus towards Nitesh Tiwari's upcoming Ramayana adaptation, which has been making headlines in recent days. Adipurush, featuring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan, has been in the news ever since its trailer release.

The film, based on the epic Ramayana, made several alterations that have garnered negative feedback, particularly regarding its dialogues. However, Raut holds no grudge against Nitesh for venturing into the same subject and instead shares his well-wishes for the renowned director. Rumors suggest that Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are expected to portray the roles of Lord Ram and Devi Sita, respectively, in Nitesh Tiwari's adaptation.

In an interview with India Today, Om Raut praised Nitesh Tiwari, saying, "Nitesh is a talented director and a dear friend of mine. I have seen his work, especially Dangal, which is one of the finest films our nation has produced. From the actors to Nitesh's writing and direction, everything about the film is phenomenal." Raut expressed his anticipation for Tiwari's Ramayana adaptation.

"I, like every devotee of Lord Ram, am eagerly looking forward to the film. No matter how many films we make on the Ramayana or Lord Ram, we will all support that film or any other film dedicated to this significant part of our country's history. It is crucial for us to retell this story as many times as possible, ensuring it reaches a wider audience," added Raut.

Despite the mixed reactions, Adipurush has been running in theaters since June 16th and continues to perform well at the box office, featuring the talented cast of Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan.
