In a significant development, a Belgian court has delivered verdicts on Tuesday in the country's largest-ever trial, focusing on the 2016 Islamist bombings in Brussels that claimed the lives of 32 individuals.
Out of the ten individuals facing charges, six have been found guilty of murder and attempted murder in a terrorist context. These six were directly involved in the twin bombings at Brussels airport and the third bomb on the city's metro, which took place on March 22, 2016.
Additionally, all eight convicted individuals were found guilty of participating in the activities of a terrorist organization. On the other hand, two men were acquitted of the charges brought against them.
The sentencing phase will be carried out in separate hearings scheduled for September.
