Khalistani Rally, India Expresses Concerns

On Monday (July 3), India expressed its concerns to Canadian authorities regarding the increased threats faced by its high commissioner in Ottawa and consulate general in Toronto. The concerns arose after posters circulated in Canada, announcing an upcoming Khalistani rally scheduled for July 8. These posters specifically targeted the Indian officials, raising worries about their safety and security.

The rally is purportedly organized in memory of Harjit Singh Nijjar, a pro-Khalistan priest who was tragically murdered in the parking lot of a gurdwara in Surrey, British Columbia on June 18.
