This year's festival will pay tribute to two legendary costume designers, Ruth E. Carter, renowned for her Oscar-winning work on "Black Panther," and Patricia Field, known for her boundary-pushing style seen in HBO's "Sex and the City" and other iconic productions.

The day-long festivities will include a series of screenings and films where fashion takes center stage in driving the narrative. Among the highly anticipated events, the Costume Design Career Achievement Award in Film and Television will be presented to Ruth E. Carter and Meda. Carter's illustrious career has seen her collaborating with Hollywood's top talents, including Spike Lee, Ryan Coogler, and Ava DuVernay, dressing stars such as Angela Bassett, Whitney Houston, and the late Chadwick Boseman. Her groundbreaking work on "Black Panther" earned her historic recognition, becoming the first black person to win an Oscar for Best Costume Design.

The event will also honor Patricia Field for her outstanding contributions to the industry, particularly in the 1980s, when her innovative style became synonymous with the vibrancy of New York City. With over 30 years of television credits, her work on "Sex and the City," among other notable productions, has left an indelible mark on the world of fashion in film.

Fashionfilm Fete's lineup will feature a selection of thought-provoking films, including "American Made" by Dana Nice, "CityCenterDC – 'Honoring You'" directed by Dean Alexander, "Finissage" by Paul Stein and Sebastien Muro, "Franciacorta – Golden Feeling" by Enya Colombi, "House of Mystic Magic" by Alexander Miguel, "How To Cope With Fame" by Tiffany Ike, "The Missing Piece" by Hitaali Dharamshi, and "The Power Is Yours" by Urivaldo Lopes.

Mignon Gould, the founder of Fashionfilm Fete, expressed her excitement for this year's event, which promises to bring together fashion and film enthusiasts from around the globe to celebrate the captivating stories woven by fashion in cinema.
