WWD Reports: Balenciaga to Host a Fashion Show in Los Angeles on December 2nd

Balenciaga, the renowned Paris-based fashion house, has exciting plans to showcase its fall 2024 men's and women's collections with a highly anticipated fashion show in Los Angeles on December 2. Although specific venue and other event details remain a well-guarded secret, the brand's fans are eagerly awaiting this unique display of creativity.

In Beverly Hills, Balenciaga already operates a flagship boutique adorned with an industrial warehouse decor, located at 338 North Rodeo Drive.

This will be the second time Balenciaga's creative director, Demna, has chosen an American city to unveil a new collection. Last year, during the resort 2023 season, the brand mesmerized audiences with a remarkable runway show on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. The event gained attention for its striking models clad in full latex suits, with only their ponytails, braids, and thick fake eyelashes peeking through slits.

Balenciaga is all set to impress the fashion world during Paris Fashion Week as well, scheduled from September 25 to October 3. In the romantic ambiance of the French capital, Demna will unveil the brand's summer 2024 collection, promising a breathtaking showcase of haute couture.

Notably, Balenciaga may become the first to initiate the sprawling pre-fall collection season, which typically includes destination shows. While other luxury brands, like Chanel, have also planned notable displays, with Chanel's Métiers d’Art collection set to dazzle in Manchester, England, on December 7.

California has become a sought-after destination for fashion shows in recent years, hosting prestigious brands such as Versace, Ralph Lauren, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Celine, and Saint Laurent, each bringing their distinctive style to the sunny state. With Balenciaga's grand event, the City of Angels will undoubtedly cement its status as a vibrant hub for the fashion world.
