"Prime Video Presents: 'Victoria's Secret World Tour' Fashion Show Spectacular - Deadline"
The streaming service Prime Video is bringing forth a spectacular fashion event titled "Victoria's Secret World Tour."
Amazon's Prime Video is set to stream "The Victoria's Secret World Tour" fashion show special on September 26, marking a significant expansion of the collaboration between Amazon and the iconic lingerie brand, Victoria's Secret.
Promoted as a unique blend of a fashion event and a documentary, the special aims to captivate viewers by offering an inside look into the creation of The Tour. It will feature behind-the-scenes footage and stories revolving around the VS20, a select group of 20 global creatives responsible for conceptualizing four fashion collections inspired by the cities of Bogota, Lagos, London, and Tokyo. Alongside these creations, custom-designed Victoria's Secret outfits will also be showcased.
In the past, the Victoria's Secret fashion shows were televised on CBS and ABC. However, in 2019, Victoria's Secret CEO announced that the traditional broadcast networks were no longer suitable for the annual fashion shows, as they had been experiencing a decline in ratings. Following a 15-season run on CBS, the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show made a brief transition to ABC in 2018.
Produced by Pulse Films, the renowned production company behind notable documentaries like "Beyonce: Lemonade" and "Beastie Boys Story," as well as Harry Style's "Music for a Sushi Restaurant" music video, "The Victoria's Secret World Tour" is brought to life under the executive production of Sunshine. The special is creatively directed by Partel Oliva, with film direction handled by Lola Raban-Oliva, Cristina Sanchez, Korty, Margot Bowman, and Umi Ishihara. Camilla Nickerson collaborates on the styling, Ari Wegner handles cinematography, Joseph Bennett oversees production design, and post-production is managed by the Oscar-winning Parallax team.
