"Elon Musk Teases Imminent Transformation of Twitter with an 'X' at its Core"
In a teasing announcement, Elon Musk hints at an upcoming transformation of Twitter, where an 'X' will take center stage as a prominent feature.
Elon Musk, after acquiring Twitter and naming it X Corp, plans to rebrand the platform with the same name. He tweeted on Saturday that he would replace the iconic Twitter bird logo with an 'X' logo, possibly as early as Sunday or Monday, globally. A teaser animation featuring the X logo on a black background was also shared on Sunday, suggesting his desire was fulfilled.
It appears that the current Twitter branding, including the blue bird logo, won't last much longer. Musk mentioned on his social network that the change is imminent. However, Twitter's CEO, Linda Yaccarino, has not yet addressed the matter on her own account, despite leading the company Musk acquired at a premium late last year. Attempts to seek comments from Twitter were unsuccessful as Musk has replaced the media contact email with an auto-responding bot.
Musk has shown a penchant for naming things with an 'X', as evidenced by his new AI company, 'x.AI', and his strong desire to have 'X' as the name for PayPal when his original company merged with another to form the online payments giant.
As of now, Twitter remains unchanged, but given Musk's track record, the platform's rebranding could happen suddenly, reflecting the whims of this enigmatic billionaire.
