In a candid conversation with Mashable, Tripathi unveiled a slice of his personal life. He recounted his father's solitary visit to Mumbai, an occasion marked by the housewarming for his first home. "He doesn't hold attachment to opulent houses," Tripathi observed.

Tripathi admitted, "My father's pride in my accomplishments is measured. He remains unaware of the intricacies of my cinematic journey. The world of cinema, as well as my role within it, eludes his grasp. The interior of a movie theater remains unfamiliar to him, and he has yet to venture within its walls. He catches glimpses of my work when someone presents it to him on their computer or the television that was recently set up in my home."

Turning his attention to his mother, he added with a touch of humor, "My mother occasionally catches my appearances on TV and voices concerns like, 'Give him a call and inform him he's grown thinner, not eating and sleeping enough.' My acting takes a back seat for her."

Meanwhile, Pankaj Tripathi is presently gracing the screens in OMG 2, sharing the spotlight with Akshay Kumar and Yami Gautam. The film, which premiered on August 11, 2023, garnered a commendable opening day collection of Rs. 10.26 crores.
