According to anonymous sources cited by the Wall Street Journal, a recently published report reveals that the alleged Chinese spy balloon, which traversed the continental United States earlier this year, was discovered to be equipped with American-made surveillance equipment. The balloon was eventually intercepted and brought down by the US military off the coast of South Carolina in February. An examination conducted by US defense and intelligence agencies on the debris recovered from the incident unveiled the presence of commercially available US equipment, some of which was even available for purchase online. Interestingly, these American devices were intermingled with specialized Chinese sensors, the report published on Wednesday evening disclosed.
